PHEKO KA KOPANELO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
ORGANISATION BACKGROUND
Pheko Ka Kopanelo Community Development has been in Service providing industry since 2003, operating as a Non-Governmental Organisation, with registration number 025-596-NPO. The founder of this organisation is Pastor Mary Crockett who was born and raised in Nancefield, Gauteng Province, urban area, as a disadvantaged child but later trained as a teacher and developed extensive experience in institutional and social development issues, training, facilitation, skills development, and research and project management.
PKKCD’S STRATEGIC AIMS
- As community builders and nation empowers, we aim help the disadvantaged communities to have access to:
- Eradication of ignorance and inefficiency in this fast changing industry
- Effective governance and leadership through relevant trainings.
- Transparent and accurate financial management through knowledge upgrade.
- Desired products and services provision through professional facilitation and relevant supply of required goods.
- Accurate and relevant product and service information distribution.
- Ensuring organization, production and service sustainability to every citizen.
- Develop all necessary skills to approach life with confidence and superiority
- Job creation for the poor of the poorest, especially
- Poverty free communities through job creations
OBJECTIVES OF PHEKO KA KOPANELO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
- To demonstrate knowledge pertaining to various skill development courses in under privileged communities of the entire Free State.
- To turn the workplaces into the world of applied knowledge by imparting relevant knowledge and skills to all unemployed youth, women and men.
- To assist and support our communities on a continuous basis, to ensure the overall quality skill development for all: the privileged and the under privileged to promote citizen equity
- To empower our communities with relevant life skills so that they know how to relate to their world in a positive manner and be creative and innovative.
- To help the community to relate with their environment by fighting against unemployment, therefore empowering the community with herbicide applicator and chain saw operator courses.
- To help the community through learnership programmes.
- To create communities with problem solving skills through training and job creation.
- To bring hope in hopeless societies through skill empowerment and job creation.
- To demonstrate an understanding of emergency scene management and principles of emergency care in the work place.

PKKCD’S OPERATIONAL STRUCTURE
The organisation operates provincially with a head office in the Phuthaditjhaba, Free State Province. Projects in Kestell, Monontsha, Chris Hani, Mabolela, Phuthaditjhaba, Ha-Sethunya.
PKKCD has a total of three full time 23 employees and 2 voluntary facilitators and trainers.

The organisation also sponsored 13 students to study at University in the Free State.
